PE stands for Prolonged Exposure therapy. Simply put, it is a therapy in which you talk over and over about the same traumatic event, which will take the "sting" out of the event by moving your recollection from the cognitive domain (thinking and remembering) to the affective domain (feeling!).
In the world of trauma therapy, there is an ongoing debate as to which technique is more effective, EMDR or PE Therapy.
Truth is, it depends: primarily on the trauma, but also on the passion of the participants. We can use them both, and with our hybrid approach, we do them both simultaneously.
