Therapist, Director, Crisis Intervention

Dr Tom Fish, PhD, MA

Dr Tom Fish, PhD, MFA, MA, CHT, is a Therapist as well as the Director and head of crisis intervention and the 24-hour crisis line.

He has been practicing for over 25 years and has conducted well over 40,000 therapy sessions. "I actually stopped counting sessions after 30,000; it's pretty much a lifestyle. It'd be like counting breakfasts or bedtimes. My main role in the world is a Therapist, and I do it 24/7 whether in-office, by telehealth, or by crisis-line."

Dr Fish, PhD, is also a Certfied Hypnotherapist, trained through the Wellness Institute at Cleveland Clinic. "Upon a client's request, I can use hypnotherapy to help unearth buried emotions and work through trauma. I've developed a hybrid of hypnotherapy, EMDR, and PE Therapy that has been very effective for sexual abuse and trauma."

Both in-office and telehealth therapy sessions are offered.

"My areas of expertise include the entire Anxiety family: Panic Attacks, Phobias, PTSD, Trauma. I also work a lot with Cluster B Personality Disorders (Borderline, Narcissistic, Histronic, and Antisocial). Also grief and loss. Having lost my wife very suddenly and going through an extremely intense grief process myself, I thoroughly understand the importance and significance of emotional support during that particular period of time. Sometimes, another empathetic voice is all it takes to pull us through those moments that can sometimes feel dark and impossible."
