We follow a philosophy of Acceptance. When it comes to mental health, there is no room for judgement, and no room for condescension or shame. We accept you--who you are and where you are at--with open arms.
You're experiencing panic attacks? Let's go deeper and find out why.
You have a fear of being abandoned and yet you keep sabotaging your relationships? Again, let's dig deeper and find out why.
A client recently stated, "I told my friend that we work so well together on everything, that I feel more like a colleague than a patient. We figure things out together."
Yes! It's like we place a proverbial Rubic's cube on the table, and we work together to solve the puzzle. This is how mental health therapy should work. Not a dictatorship. And not a one size fits all approach.
We believe a good therapist must be eclectic; that is, he or she must be well-versed and proficient in an entire arsenal of therapeutic techniques and philosophies. Among those, our "must" list includes a Psychodynamic perspective, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TA (Transactional Analysis), Psychoanalysis, Rogerian and Gestalt Humanism, PE Therapy, EMDR, Reality Therapy, Behaviorism, REBT, Hypnotherapy, and inner-child healing.
All in all, this is a very tall order! But we are striving to provide the best and most effective Therapists in Michigan.
If you have any questions or comments, we’d love to hear from you. Your feedback is always appreciated!
